Cross Threshold is a bronze parallelepiped whose function is precisely to be a cross

threshold, to be inserted into an open window, or a door, so as to prevent it from closing.

Engraved on the four sides of the parallelepiped is the phrase MULTITUDE IS SOLITUDE

IS, the phrase is circular and endless and alludes to the spaces of solitude and multitude,

to the inside and the outside, to what is seen and what is unseen, the writing itself is partly

hidden when the work performs its function as a transverse threshold.

The work can also be performed by picking it up and twirling it, in which case the title of

the work becomes Continuous Poetry.
